Prescriptions

If you need routine medications refilled, please call your pharmacy at least 3 business days before you would like to pick up your prescription. Refills will be handled as quickly as possible, but may require up to 72 hours to process. You must plan ahead when refilling your medications. Running out of medication can jeopardize your health.

If you have not seen your doctor in 6 months or your doctor wishes to see you at more frequent intervals you may be asked to schedule an appointment before your medicine will be refilled. This is important for your safety and health.

Chronic pain medications will be refilled only by your primary physician. Lost or stolen pain medications will NOT be replaced. If you require chronic pain medication, you will be asked to sign a pain contract and will need to be seen by your primary care physician on a regular basis.

The on-call physician will NOT give new prescriptions nor refill prescriptions for antibiotics, tranquilizers or medications for pain, anxiety or depression.
